Fundamentals

We desire to have a healthy church on mission for God. We do this by building our foundation on these five fundamentals:

• EVANGELISM
  By telling people about who Jesus is and showing them how to have a personal relationship with Him.

• DISCIPLESHIP

  By teaching believers God’s Word and seeing them look more like Him in word and in deed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

• FELLOWSHIP

  By connecting and encouraging one another to love, share, and grow in Christ as we do Great Commission life together.

• MISSIONS

  By showing all people Jesus through our actions by meeting needs inside and outside the church.

• WORSHIP

  By praising and glorifying God from a surrendered, obedient heart that loves Him.

our history

Liberty Grove Baptist Church was established in 1844. It is one of the oldest Baptist churches in Madison County. The oldest minutes recorded from the church are from 1909, when services were held monthly on Saturday afternoons. The church worshipped in a one-room frame structure for 43 years until 1964. In the 1970’s and 1980’s, God blessed, and Liberty Grove expanded to the size building we currently have now. In the early 2000’s, God again blessed Liberty Grove with growth like it had not seen before. Today, we have upgraded our facilities, and God continues to bless Liberty Grove. We are continually seeking His will for our church and strive to see His name glorified in our church, our community, and the nations.
